The Midrash tells of a primordial clash between the two great luminaries—the sun and moon—over who would be greatest. It happened on the 4th day of creation. Later, we read the story of the disciples of Yeshua jockeying for position too, “Who is greatest in the kingdom?” The desire for greatness is inside all of us. And that’s a good thing if we know what greatness looks like. The moon has a message for us this week!
